In this week's or last week's Newsweek, there is an article about how we are addicted to spending. How the majority of us are hard-wired to opt for instant gratification even if common sense tells us to save for a rainy day. There is real science behind these studies, specifically that famous marshmallow study we've all heard about in school, and the fact that our brain actually releases oxytocin when we purchase new things.
I thought it was a timely article since I cannot believe it is time to Christmas shop already. Also, since I have stopped working and have to buy millions of baby things Greg and I have had to make some adjustments. Oh gosh. That is a long time to decompose! I think this year we are getting food storage, boring! ;)
I just happened across your blog through someone else's. We do cloth diapers and I've loved it. My baby is 1 in a couple weeks, and I'm just now debating whether or not to be done with cloth, but I LOVED them for the newborn, and early solids stages. My favorites were the fuzzibunz all in one diapers, and the flipz covers with bummis inserts.
