I wrote this around the beginning of December and since it's already written I thought I should just post it for the record.)**
I am only writing about this because I took them to the Dr. again so I have stats. I recognize no one is holding their breath for me to write monthly updates on my children's stats, but oh well. When you are pregnant you are counting the weeks. Now with babies you are counting the months. I think when babies turn one you get to count years. Well... that's not true because a Dad told me his daughter was 20 months at church the other day, so maybe month counting stops at two years old.
Anyway, Penny is 12 pounds and Hazel is 11. It is disturbing that I am already so concerned about my children's weight, but it is the good kind of concerned. I want fat babies, not skinnies.
Our Doctor, who I really like, told me it's fine to start giving them rice cereal and fruits and vegetables. In my breastfeeding class the teacher told us all to set a goal to exclusively breastfeed for 6 months. Why do so many people tell you different things? Luckily, nursing is still going really well. This is how I feel about it:
(not one of my children)
So no other food for now. The problem is, Hazel is in the 5th percentile, while Penny is in the 30th. Dr. Mower told me rice cereal would probably help her weight. So we may have to revisit this. I hate percentiles.
In other twin news they are grabbing, and baby talking, and watching everything, and laughing(!) and sitting in their little bumbo, and rolling from front to back. rarely back to front. These are all of their accomplishments.
Here is a twin picture:
The problem with saying you are going to blog more is that it feels like it's hanging over my head to really blog more and then I want to quit blogging.
Right before the 4 month birthday we went to California for Thanksgiving. I just wanted to post some pictures of that trip so that will be the next time I blog. Just be grateful I am writing about this while it is still pre-Christmas. Sometimes I am barely keeping my head above water. When you write on your to-do list: "make bed," you know you either have a really easy life, or you are really struggling to get anything done in the day.
Or you are just writing stupid things on your daily list.
Here is our Christmas card picture, also.
Probably everyone reading this got one:)
An unsolicited opinion:
This year I used minted.com to make our cards in a hurry and was so happy with the paper and quality. Also their design selections were much better than the other sites I usually use and have to go through 500 cards before I find 2 that I like. So maybe it's the best site if you're not going to design your own. Not the best prices though. Tell me if you have another site to recommend and don't say shutterfly.

Those babies are the cutest babies I have ever seen. Honestly!
So darling!
they are so strong doing their pushups! good job. i was going to ask about your card because i really loved all the minted birth announcements but wondered if you had a special coupon or something because they seem $$. i will just have to start saving my dollhairs.
I have been putting really small things on my to-do list lately too. It feels good to actually cross thing off!
Love the picture of the two of them and loved your Christmas card, so I'll have to check out the site. Love you.
