You should have heard me after the girls successfully completed their first flight out of Utah. I was telling Greg how our girls had genetically inherited a love of travel, and planning vacations, and imagining how we would be a family in transit with lots of passport stamps. Greg was just rolling his eyes. Can't keep a good woman down. Or stagnant. That's what I say.

| Hazel and me on the plane. I know. It looks like she has a huge 'fro, but it's the guy behind us. |
Greg's dad is a 4-day-a-week Californian. And he lives on a boat when he is there, so it is always so fun to visit and be in LA for a minute.

I kind of think Southern California, specifically LA, gets a bad rap. But then again I do not live there and do not have to do the whole traffic thing every single day, so what do I know? I always hear people say California is overcrowded and too cool and has bad traffic, but whenever we go it seems like we are either in, or visiting the happiest place on earth so give me a break. It is great. I like that weather. The people are nice. They wear less black and less clothes than New Yorkers. I can deal with it. I am already spoiled by Utah winters compared to Connecticut so I feel like we're on the up and up when we're in California in November.
That's right, I am posting about something we did in November. Whatevs.
Greg and I went on a bike ride. Every time I have left the babies, even for 30 Minutes, I document it.

Of course Debbie got to California two days before us to go grocery shopping and set up everything so the rest of the family could have a perfect, stress-free holiday. She is amazing. We are eating Thanksgiving dinner in the galley here

THE highlight for me was seeing my Aunt Charlotte, Uncle Mike, and cousins Adam, Nolan and Natalie- who drove up from San Diego to meet the twins. I am the luckiest to have such an awesome family- on both sides. I wish I could communicate to the girls how loved they are. Turns me right to mush talking about my family.

The flight to and from NY after Christmas was almost 5 hours and didn't go quite as smoothly as this one. I am begrudgingly going back on all the travel plans I made for us after this trip. ho-hum.
Ok well have a happy January 5th. I'll probably blog again tomorrow. I am on a rollllll

I love LA too--it took a while to figure out where and when I cannot drive due to traffic, but since that time I have been a lot less stressed by traffic (rule of thumb: do not drive more than .5 miles between 3 and 8 PM).
You are such a stylish biker. It is also amazing to me that you were able to figure out how to ride from the Marina to Venice. I have gotten lost any time I have tried.
Just got caught up on your last few posts.
1. I love reading your book reviews.
2. I like Gwyneth too. Did not see either movie though.
3. DARLING Christmas card pic. I have not checked the mail in over 2 weeks...
4. Cutest picture of the girls.
5. Why did we not discuss your amazing surprise trip to Connecticut tonight, or any of the holiday happenings for that matter?
6. Let's just all move to LA.
